Lounge ceiling filled & painted

Getting there with the lounge. The spare room is packed full of all our furniture while we finish painting the ceiling, walls, window frames and fireplace in the lounge. As always.. its taken longer than hoped, but getting there.

The ceiling required re-screwing up, scraping back any cracks, bogging it all up and then two coats of paint. This weekend we managed to get the final coat of paint on... and it looks nice and fresh. Ceilings are never something i have paid any attention to before... but once you start painting you realise how dirty and fly spotty the old ceiling must have been! Best not even to look up in our other rooms! haha.

Architrave's, Architrave's, we have Architraves!

This weekend whilst i had a few nana naps and was completely unhelpful on the house front... Gaz put the architraves on around the french doors and the bifold laundry doors. Stoked. Its amazing what a bit of wood slapped around a door can do to finish things off!

Addictive stripping

Not sure what everyone else was up to friday night a couple of weekends ago. We certainly weren't partying thats for sure. Just stripping up a storm, thats all. Not your removing clothes type... Phewf! Rather, we were removing the old flakey polyurethane/shellac of sorts from our wooden doors...

Quite a satisfying and addictive task i have to admit. Required no effort - just my kinds of job! :)
